Oh, thank you! Love gnomes! Now they often make me think of my friend "Bird" who died last year at 101. For decades she had a fat little book in which she kept all her favorite poems and quotes; after the pages were filled, she just stuck loose scraps of paper with more literature in between the leaves, and had to keep a rubber band around it so they wouldn't all fall out. It had a name on the front: Gnome Gnotebook.
